Formation of Rhode Island Institute for Nursing

Dear RISNA Member,

The Rhode Island State Nurses Association is proud to announce the inception of the Rhode Island Institute for Nursing or RINI, a non-profit organization developed by members of the RISNA board and health care leaders. RINI's mission is to support the mission of the Rhode Island State Nurses Association by promoting optimal health care for Rhode Island citizens through stewardship of entrusted Funds and through philanthropy focused on outcomes that support and advance the profession of nursing.

Goals and initiatives of RINI are:
  • To advance knowledge of the nursing profession
  • To establish career development with a Center of Nursing Excellence
  • To assist all nurses and student nurses with a broader vision of a Peer Support program
  • To encourage nursing research by funding Rhode Island Nurse Researchers
  • To establish a building for RINI that will be a "Green" environmentally sound structure to support the workings of the organization

The Rhode Island Institute for Nursing is unlike any other nursing institute because of our distinct goals and initiatives. RINI is the first of its kind in Rhode Island. As members of RISNA, the institute will be your institute to help us develop and thrive as a successful organization. To make our goals a true reality we need your help. I sincerely hope you will be able to see our vision for the future to help us build and support fellow nurses and student nurses who need our assistance and guidance. Your tax-deductible contribution will be recognized in the RINI newsletter as we grow and expand. Contributions can be made by phone (401) 305-3330 or Fax (401) 305-3332.

Thank you in advance for your contributions to this exciting new organization. We look forward to hearing feedback from you as the organization develops. Feel free to call us at (401)-305-3330 or email us.

Yours truly,
Donna Policastro, RNP
